NWR: NYPD help...

Hi everyone,

My bf is thinking about becoming a police officer. he is currently a teacher but has been doing quite a bit of research on Nassau, Suffolk and the NYC PD.

Is anyone related to a cop? I wanted to just find out a bit more info. Maybe you all can help.

* How long is the process from start to finish (from when you apply to becoming an officer)?
* Is it super hard to get into Nassau an Suffolk?
* Any pointers?
* My bf is concerned about his vision exam..

This is my question: have you seen a noticable change in yourself of the actual cop you are related to after becoming an officer?
