NWR: Oil to Gas?

NWR: Oil to Gas?

The house me and fh bought uses oil and we are thinking of switching to gas. Our oil bills have been very high... So, does anyone know how to switch? Do we have to make sure we're able to even get gas? Are those companies still giving away boilers as promotions for switching?

Any insight into this will be very helpful! Thanks!

The first thing I would do is call LIPA to find out if gas available on your street. If you give them your address they should be able to tell you. If it is available they will tell you how to do the conversion.

Definitely call LIPA. It may take a while to get through to someone but stay on it. They will give you all the information over the phone - all they need is an address. LIPA will generally bring in the first 100' at no charge... they told me it would be $25-75 per foot after the first 100.
