NWR- ok vampire addicts

I finished reading the sookie stackhouse series on sunday. monday FH and I went to b&n and I bought thirst by christopher pike, its a collection of his first 3 books from his 'last vampire' series... I finished book 1 of 3... I liked it at first, but then everything just felt too rushed. like she was telling a guy she loved him and she slept with him after knowing him for about 3 days. and he left his g/f for her... now I'm about to start book 2 'black blood' but I read the outline on wiki.. and I don't think I'm going to like it much...

so have any of you read it?

I also bought another book, but I can't remember the name right now.

soooo I just wanted to know your opinions on this 'thirst' series.

I read all of them when I was in my teens. They are fast reads but you have to remember they are written for 13 year olds.

Try the Vampire Diaries series by L.J. Smith again they are teen books but I love them. The tv show is actually pretty good too even though its loosely based on the books.

I'm a vampire book addict so I will see which ones I have at home to recommend.

Haha I know it's intended for teens, but I love this series. In fact, I'm probably going to finish my new book on the subway home and I'll pick up Twilight again just for something to read.

I tried reading 'Blue Bloods' because EW rated one of their vamps as one of the most bad-asss vamps of all times (Of course, Lestat was number one.) but boy I hated that book. I think it's one of the worst I ever read! Of course I finished it, because I had to, but ughhh awful.

I'm reading 'The Strain' now, but these vampires do not sparkle, are not sexy, or tame, or nice or anything. LOL! They are creepy as hell, but it's a really good read! I highly recommend it.

I still gotta read Vampire Diaries, too.

I stopped reading vampire books after I fell in love with Edward Cullen. I just knew I'd never feel for another vampire the way I feel for him...

Yeah, he makes men everywhere look bad. ::Sigh:: Though in the movies, I'd be ALL over Jacob Black.

ETA: And yes, I know that's illegal in most states.

Haha if that's an option, I'm all for it! But that did not look like a 16 year old kid!

Well, Edward is really in his 100's and if Jacob is some sort of dog, aren't his years times 7? That justifies it!

The blonde one who owns Fangtasia (Alexander Skarsgard)- they make him out to be more of d!ck in the show, but in the books he's really funny and hot. I hope they make it to season 4 because that season promises lots of Eric.

ETA: From True Blood/Sookie Stackhouse series, not Twilight. I know everyone likes the other vamps in Twilight, but eh, they didn't do it for me.

I have to agree the Twi guys don't do it for me. But the Salvatore brothers from the Vampire Diaries wowza. I'd let them bite, lick, **** whatever they wanted. They are smokin. Eric is also up there on the list too. But Damon Salvatore is definitely my #1. FH always asks me if I want to be alone when we watch the show.

Check out Jeanine Frost's Vampire Huntress Series. First book is Halfway to the Grave. Her heroine is a half vampire, half human hybrid. LOVE her work!
