So, I got a raise so for my first paycheck I wanted to spend the extra money because after this check I am going to have it go directly into my savings
I go to old Navy and i was SOOO SAD!
I tried on those adorable dresses in the commercials. Now i am not saying this bc i am in denial that i am fat or anything - but they are hte most UNFLATTERING dresses i have ever seen. They are okay on my boobs but then they are babydoll cut ( which they dont look like on the commercials) and i seriously look about 7-8 months PREGNANT in all of them, and in the long one i look like a pregnant hippie!!!!!!!
THEN i tried on some capris - again, not in denial abuot my weight. BUT if i put on a 4 it is so tight on my butt but then there is abut a 6 inch gap in the back btw my waist and the pants! I could seriously pack a week's worth of clothes in there and i wouldnt have to bring a carry on on my HM - but then the 6 just falls off of me
so upset i didnt even buy one thing - what the heck am i going to wear this summer and to my HM!?!?!??!
If those dresses look good on you - i want to know what body type you have because i just cant see them not looking like maternity dresses onpeople!

Re: NWR: Old Navy Vent!
i went to old navy and bought those dresses.
they did not fit my boobs AT ALL. Everywhere else.. perfect. Up top, I was either falling out, or they were pushed so tight I couldnt breathe.
I will be returning them next time I go.
I was dissapointed.

he he that was the only part i liked about them :) but i have no boobs so that is probably why!
so the bottom baby doll part looked nice on you? Maybe bc you are more 'proportioned' and i tend to carry my weight on the bottom? i am so curious as to who these dresses are made for!

I tried those dresses on too!!!
AWFUL.
Not only were they super short, but I totally looked like I was expecting.

I dont know if I would call it more proportioned or 'big in the hips'. But they dont cling, so they hide that well. They would be nice if they had a little more room in the top for me..

see they did the opposite for me - i have child bearin hips ( a gyn actually told me that once) and it made it look more pronounced - stupid poopie dresses

Re: NWR: Old Navy Vent!
haha I have child bearing hips as well- atleast thats what people tell me
But when I try on pants from Old Navy I always have the problem of them being too tight on my *** but then btw the back of the pants and my waist there is a huge gap I could fit my 8 yr old brother in!!
i would def try Charlotte Russe, Forever 21, Mandees and Strawberry's- love the one right on Lexington Ave!

In the last few years the fit of Old Navy clothes has gone downhill big time. I only buy jackets from there now.
