NWR: Old Navy Vent!

So, I got a raise so for my first paycheck I wanted to spend the extra money because after this check I am going to have it go directly into my savings

I go to old Navy and i was SOOO SAD!

I tried on those adorable dresses in the commercials. Now i am not saying this bc i am in denial that i am fat or anything - but they are hte most UNFLATTERING dresses i have ever seen. They are okay on my boobs but then they are babydoll cut ( which they dont look like on the commercials) and i seriously look about 7-8 months PREGNANT in all of them, and in the long one i look like a pregnant hippie!!!!!!!

THEN i tried on some capris - again, not in denial abuot my weight. BUT if i put on a 4 it is so tight on my butt but then there is abut a 6 inch gap in the back btw my waist and the pants! I could seriously pack a week's worth of clothes in there and i wouldnt have to bring a carry on on my HM - but then the 6 just falls off of me

so upset i didnt even buy one thing - what the heck am i going to wear this summer and to my HM!?!?!??!

If those dresses look good on you - i want to know what body type you have because i just cant see them not looking like maternity dresses onpeople!

In the last few years the fit of Old Navy clothes has gone downhill big time. I only buy jackets from there now.

i used to fit into a 0 there. . .i think they changed the sizes

lol again i sound like a fat girl in denial - but i am serious!!!

if it fit me well i would be even an 8 or a 10 but there is nothing that fits well in all areas!! my mom told me to buy the dresses and capris and she would alter them for me but why should she have to fix cheap clothes! i should just be able to wear them!

i will have to try out fashion bug!

I know the dresses you are talking about and it's not just you. They really look like maternity wear when you try them on. even in some of the ads the 16 yr old models look pregnant

Thank you so much!! I was so excited about them i brought like 4 different ones into the dressing room!

ugh i know what you mean, i try on so many baby doll dresses and its hard to find a flattering one.

Just go somewhere else, its the way they cut and make the clothes then...Its definitely not you bc you're not fat at all.

hey...why dont u go to like Strawberrys or mandees or forever21 os charlotte russe...the clothes are inexpensive and cute. Im not tryin to sound cheap but i get so much from strawberrys since its right near my job and its all cute.

ive NEVER been a fan of old navy...i bought 1 pair of jeans when i was a lil bit smaller that i loved like 4 years ago..but other than that...nothin fits me right either.

I agree - Old Navy succks. I don't know what kind of women they fashion their clothes after!

I would try American Eagle or Pac Sun. You'll prob find leaner clothes there...

Im soo glad to hear you say that.. I hadnt bought from there in a while.. I used to wear a size 6 in jeans there.. I knew i put on some weight so i grabbed a bigger size without trying on so i wouldnt make FH wait... I got home and was so excited to try them on.. and couldnt even think about getting them over my butt!!!.. Now i didnt think my body changed THAT much! I was sooo depressed!!

like i said i used to be a 0 and yeah i gained some weight. . . but to go from a 0 to a 6. , , i dont think i gained that much weight!

i dont understand why they dont make girls jeans like guys - so that you dont have to guess your size you just buy your measurement!!

i hate old navy, and the same with Gap.. i used to only buy my jeans at the gap... the ankle cut fit me the BEST... how my same size 10 fit me for YEARS and now in one season i go up to a 14 AND i lost 20 lbs.. IMPOSSIBLE.

i kno im not a 0 (im jealous matilde) but i KNO im not a 14 in JEANS!!!!

im actually gettign rid of my gap/ old navy CC bc the quality of clothing has gone down also... how jeans are SUPER thin... and stretch so much when you sit once.... after one sit down i look liek i have diper butt... UNACCEPTABLE!

i love NY&Co... i believe they have small sizes.. but i noticed they fit more my body (short leggs, thighs and tush) a whole lot better.
