Me too, how the hell was she drunk and high at 9am??????????? Thats when she left the campsite, can you possibly be that drunk from the night before? .19?!?!?!? And how do you get in the car drunk and high with 5 kids in the car?!?!?!?!?!?

Yea, and I just read that she smoked pot about 15 minutes to an hour before the crash and she had 6 grams of vodka in her stomach that had not yet reached her bloodstream, which means she was smoking and drinking in the presence of those children. It is a horrible horrible tragedy. I can't even imagine how terrified those kids were. And the parents, OMG, it is just awful all around.

When the story first came out and they were saying that she called the husband saying she didn't feel well, and then he called the state troopers to look for her, something didn't seem right. So sad, especially because she didn't just take her own life.

This story is seriously awful!! I heard about it on the news earlier...... and it's just horrific. And this woman pisses me off big time!!
I wonder who she was camping with? surely she wasn't camping with 5 kids all alone?!?!? Then if she was camping with other adults... you have to ask yourself.. HOW COULD THEY NOT KNOW HOW TRASHED SHE WAS??? And then you think... WOW she seems like she had an actual drinking problem.... hmm... so who knew about her drinking problem?!?! Even IF no one knew she was trashed that particular morning.... they HAD to know she was an obvious alcoholic!! So WHY did she even have the opportunity to have these kids in her care??!! It is a homicide... SHE killed all those people and kids!!!! I'm disgusted!!!
And I even feel bad for her poor son who survived. How badly is that poor kid going to be scarred? he was 5... which can be old enough to remember what happened... and even if he doesn't remember.... he will eventually know the story.

i would LOVE to know why that husband allowed his drunk of a wife to have those kids under her care unsupervised. She sounds like a REAL MESS... and you can't tell me that her husband didn't know that!! That has to be why he called the state troopers when she called and said she didn't feel well.

I went from OMG that poor woman must have had a seizure or a stroke or something to HATING her. If you want to kill yourself, go right ahead, but to kill innocent BABIES is unforgiveable.
This story made me sick and disturbed. I first thought she had a stroke. Those poor kids and that family she killed in the other car she hit. So horrible. How selfish and irresponsible of her. I have no sympathy for her at all!!!!! Her recklessness cost the lives of 7 other people.

Same, I was so upset thinking she was having an aneurysm (sp?)...or a stroke or something...and then its that SHES DRUNK?!?!?!?! I am outraged.

a woman I work with knew the woman & her husband through friends & just saw them camping a few weeks ago..she doesn't really talk much but was hysterical when the whole thing happened. Then today she was like 'oh maybe she just had a drink at lunch?' Lunch?? it was morning! & she shouldn't be drinking & then driving with all these kids in the car period! so this proved what a good judge of character she is..i don't think she would have realized she was a drun when she saw her but anyway..
The woman had her brother's 3 girls along with her to children & supposeldy called him to say she didn't feel well & he was going to come get her. Then 1st I heard the husband was following her in a another truck with all of their camping but then today I was told her went on a fishing trip and wan't near them..whatever the case those poor children, the poor brother & sister in law whose family was destroyed & the 3 men she also killed...I don't understand it at all..the husband is saying she liked to drink??? so y is any family member leaving those kids alone with her! &she was high ontop of it?? I just can't deal with such unnecessary tradegy in this world.
