NWR: OMG THE GOV. OF NJ just came OUT!

Original post by Pookiesangel

Live on TV!

I have to say that took a lot of guts, someone was trying to blackmail him, so he felt the need to come foward and explain and he is resigning in early Nov.

ETA: Okay the story is an ex staffer is going to sue him..

Aga..she may be in shock. I would be..but then I would wake the heck up and after we did our little public appearance..I would be drawing up divorce papers. That is one issue we cant work out.

but she had to know about it, you think he didnt tell her what he was about to do?

He said something to the effect that irrefutable facts were going to surface and he couldn't live a lie.

He's resigning because he feels this would interfere with his ability to do the job effectively anymore.

I live in NJ and I voted for him. I don't care that he's gay, I just wish he hadn't lied and cheated on his wife. His poor kids!!

Aga..yeah she knew he was going to announce it. I meant that alot of these politicians wives are coached on how to handle the 'professionalism of scandal'. I could never be a politicians wife in this situation.. they would call me ghetto..I would not be by his side.

One of my friends at work told me months ago she heard rumors about his being gay. It was related to his accident down the Jersey shore years ago...when he broke his leg (femur) in the sand dunes. she heard it from a gay NJ friend that it was related to a homosexual tryst.

I thought they were nuts...but i guess it was TRUE!

Whoa. I feel terrible for his wife and that little girl in the TV commercials -- I literally saw it this morning! It's terrible to have to live a lie. But it's also terrible to perpetuate that lie to your family, constituents, etc!
