So, I don't know how many of you girls donate blood, let alone sign up to be a bone marrow donor... but my FH is going to be donating bone marrow in January to save a boys life!
He already does so much to make me proud and this just adds to the list.
In advance... no.. he has no reason to do it. He just signed up and said 'There's a 1 in a million chance to save someone's life.. so why not?'
Friggin love him! ..like so proud I've been teary almost the whole time I found out. Imagine some stranger just trying to save a life for no reason? Like.. if that was my kid (if I had a kid).. I would just be so happy.. 1 in a million... and he's the 1.
I just want to walk up to him like this:

One of my BM's just did this for a 6 year old boy with leukemia.
I also got teary eyed when she told me she was doing it.

That's one of the most selfless things someone can do. The process is very painful, and to be willing to go through that for the chance to save a life is absolutely incredible!!! Kudos to you FH and kudos to you for finding such an amazing man!!!

Thanks girls! Ugh! He's so annoying! He told me not to blow his head up with the whole 'your saving a life thing.' So, I have to be quiet(ish) about it! I guess when I see him Thursday I can't do the teary eyed 'I'm so proud!' thing. Oh well... I'll just post every once in while over the next 8 weeks to update you girls! Don't want to make him realize how wonderful he is!

Thanks! I was looking all his paperwork and OMG! I think I might need to take a few days off to play nurse. He apparently will be out of work for 2-3 weeks on the couch in pain! I'm sure he'll be working on his Xbox and computer game skills.
