NWR: Pantyhose brands and color suggestions for job interview?
The shoes are closed - so don't panic about that.
But I figure hose are the way to go for an interview.
The question is... What brands look good, but don't run if you look at them wrong?
If it matters, I really don't need control out of the hose.
Also, I assume nude, but the suit is navy if that matters.

I haven't worn panythose in years, so I can't help. Why not wear a pant suit, then your problem is solved?

I always wear LEGGS brand.. nude color ( I know they aren't the most expensive brand or anything) but for the day, they will do it! I usually get at least a few wears out of em!

when i went to a recruiter she sent me a whole list about what to do for an interview and what to wear...if you do wear a skirt suit then wear nude pantyhose she said. Other things not to do is dont wear perfume, wear your hair up, very little jewelry no dangling bracelets and things like that especially, no monogrammed bags. There were alot more but i cant remember them all right now

I am an HR director. I prefer people that don't look like the rest of the applicants. Pearls, hair up...everything a recuiter tells you to do. I look to see if the suit fits nicely and that the clothes are ironed. If you are wearing a navy suit, you should wear nude stockings. But be yourself. If you get the job, the are going to eventually see the real you. Always look nice and neat and have a smile on your face!!

well you are definitely a nice one, wish there were more out there...theres alot of college kids who come in to interview and they have to do 2 days and stay all day, and after they leave you will have ppl who critique everything, i feel so bad...people make comments on how they look, what they wore and talk in front of everybody

Stockings are the least of your worries, lol. Just focus on the interview. Wear nude, doesnt matter what brand

Anyone can be told how to dress and how to act on an interview. When people come in with the typical attire, I know someone told them how to dress. But I am far from the typical HR Director. I violate every policy and procedure.

hahaha well its about time some ppl are like this. I HATE wearing my hair up and i always think, is my hair going to qualify me for a job? lol. I once went into an interview with this bracelt that had a charm on it and the whole time the lady was looking at my bracelt and was kinda making a nasty face about it I guess it depends who you interview with, some people are very old school and others take a different approach.

I hate when people try to change me!! You either love me or hate me but everyone says I am real. I want originality, personality and of course qualified people working with me. My job would suck if everyone was the same!!

i wish they were all like you...some are very very old school financial industry ppl and dont like it. I mean of course look nice and neat dont get me wrong, but the resume should be the main thing

Yea I'm no help either. Everytime I wear pantyhose they run and I have to throw them out.

Hanes Sheer Elegance. Not the most expensive brand, but good for the price. They hold up pretty well, too. No matter what brand you get, they're going to run, so why spend a fortune, you know?
One to avoid--L'eggs Silken Mist. Looks and feels great, but the toes will split by mid-morning.
