I'm selling something on craig's list and the guy interested in buying the item wants my paypal e-mail? Can he pay me through paypal even though I'm not registered to receive payments through it? I do have a paypal acct but I'm skeptical

i used to sell on ebay alot but its been awhile- they should have an faq situation- but I do remember that they take a % of the sale for going through paypal.

You can give him your email to receive the money request from paypal, but u have to open up a paypal account & link it to your checking account in order to get the money out.

You have to set up the portion to receive payments. When I firsted registered an account through paypal it was to purchase only. But in order for me to sell items I had to do the receive money. They make you enter your bank account info. I was very skeptical for the longest time and I'm okay with it now. Then again if someone tries to hack it there is nothing in that account for them to spend!
