(NWR) Pet Hotel *** UPDATED AGAIN: GETTING BETTER***

The person who said they were going to watch me and FH's puppy this weekend while we went away screwed us over by backing out at the last minute... I can't believe some people!!

So now it's too late to book some pet hotels that we know of (IE: Petsmart--they have no vacancy)... does anyone know of any other Pet Hotels that are nice in the area??

TIA so much, I don't know what we are going to do!!

Second Update:

We found a place that a fellow LIW bride on the Pets board recommended!!! He is a trainer who boards out of his own private home-- which is so nice because this is her first boarding experience. He is double what most places charge which was the only draw-back but you know what? It's worth it b/c it's like one-on-one boarding!!! And we don't need to worry about her shots not being completely done because she is not going to be around like 500 dogs!!!

PHEW!!!!!! talk about a load off

Re: (NWR) Pet Hotel

try calling frank at www.muttmanners.com

i take my puppy to training with them and they have a place in farmingdale that they do boarding. i havent boarded my dog there -but people say that when they board their dog the dog is exhausted when it gets home because they let the dogs play a lot - they are really great!

Re: (NWR) Pet Hotel

Don't vet's house pets???

I know when Mr Clyde was sick... the man who was helping him told me the doggie near his cage was there for vacation...

Why don't you check with your vets office??

Re: (NWR) Pet Hotel

I use Paumanok. They are on 112 in Patchogue. They are wonderful!!!!! It is a great place and the only one my dog likes going to. We tried other places and when we came home they said she didn't eat and stayed in her cage. She also left barking at the receptionist. At Paumanok she runs out of the car into the desk area and sits on everyone's lap. They are great there.

Re: (NWR) Pet Hotel

You can board them at your vet, which I kinda think is better, this way if they get sick they're already there. We board our animals at Plainview animal hospital. They are soooo nice. They take the animals out during the day and play with them, and everytime I pick themup they don't want to let them leave

Re: (NWR) Pet Hotel

My sister boards her dog at Cozy Noses. I'm pretty sure they are on Locust Ave. in Oakdale (?) I went with her when she first checked it out - seemed very nice and clean, everyone very friendly. And Baxter seems to love it!
Let me see if I can get the phone number...

Okay, here's the info:
Cozy Noses Bed & Breakfast for Pets

I think you said you lived near the watermill area. Maybe you can try Hauppauge Animal Hospital. I think they have a kennel.

***SEE UPDATE ON FIRST POST***

I just want to thank everyone SO much for helping me out-- all the places you guys recommended were great, we were just worried because she is young yet and with her shots, it's hard. But those places are definitely places I'm going to keep in mind once she is older and has everything she needs (shot wise)!!!!

BTW: My boss told meKozy Noses is a GREAT place-- he takes his dogs there but they were all booked up. Mutt manners seemed great too but I was nervous with all the dogs and her shots!!

THANKS SO MUCH EVERYONE!!!!!!!!

BARBADOS: here we come!!!
