anyone use mirena? they dont want to give me birth control pills because of my blood pressure (tho i've been on them before and been fine)

I have a paraguard IUD- The Mirena IUD contains hormones so if it is the hormones you are concerned about you may want to look into Paraguard. I have had my IUD for over two years now without any problems. The first few months after I got it my periods were VERY, VERY heavy. I love not having to remember to take a pill everyday. I was initially very nervous about getting it.
