NWR: Psycho Driver on 347

I have never actually been scared while I was driving until tonight. I was driving home from FH's house in Rocky Point on Rte 347 which is a big 4 lane road (2 lanes each way). Some maniac driving behind me must have been on some kind of drugs or something. Got behind me and was tailgating to the point that I thought he was going to smash into me, kept weaving in and out of lanes and almost hitting every car he was behind, I actually pulled over to the side of the road b/c he wound up behind me several times. I honestly thought i would see him in a horrifying car accident when I got further down the road. He must have turned off b/c i didnt see him anymore. Answer me this, why dont these psychos ever get pulled over by the cops???????

I HATE people that drive like that. . .don't they realize they are risking their lives as well as others

I called the cops 2 nights ago on a drunk driver who pulled into my neighbors driveway. The guy moved out of that house like 2 years ago and must have forgot!! Anthony went out there to talk to them and the guy tried to fight him!! I finally got Anthony back inside. When the cops got there the drunk guys ran, were tackled, then threw glass bottles at the cops feet and I watched as the cops told them to walk away!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! When the cops left they returned and picked up their pick up and drove drunk somewhere else!!!

What do you have to do these days to get arrested?? I mean COME ON!

I also think I posted about this about a month ago... I was on a service road (one way) at a light and someone tried to pull down in facing me! He realized he was wrong so backed out onto North Ocean Avenue while everyone was flying on it! Then he proceeded to drive over the bridge on the wrong side of the street and he got into a head on collision!!!

Its so scary out there!! I just dont get how people can drive drunk in the first place!!!

I completely agree with your sentiments!! FH and hate that we see people fly through the red lights on 347 and do crazy swerving in and out of traffic and there is NEVER a cop anywhere to be seen!!! The lights need to get cameras installed on them to ticket drivers for unsafe driving!

Yesterday, we had a similar experience on 347 by Wireless Road around 6:30pm. Some girl was on her cell phone (no hands free system, either) and she tried to run the red light , but decided to stop in the middle of the intersection, but then those trying to make the left onto Wireless couldn't turn, so she started backing up, almost into ANOTHER car, then when the light turned green, she didn't move forward, but backward b/c she hadn't shifted into drive yet, then she screeched forward ahead of FH and I, swerving in and out of lanes while still talking on her cell phone!!! PEOPLE are nuts to talk on a phone and drive at the same time - they make hands free devices for a reason!!!!!!!!!!!

I dont know how true it is but I heard that 347 was rated one of the top 3 worst roads to drive on in like the country or something!
