we went to Lewins. Im not sure but its either IN or PAST wading river. We passed East Wind on our left side, and the farm was maybe 10 minutes past it... Wasnt the best patch in the world, but it was a fun day!

Lewins is the best for apples.. however their apple season is over.. all the apples are on the floor..

i think if you go out to wickham they still have apples on the trees..

and stakey's pumpkin picking as well as lewin's (i think ) you pick the pumpkins right off the vine! ..

here is a a link to various pumpkin picking sites

http://longisland.about.com/cs/seasonalevents/a/pumpkins.htm

that link will lead you to other links of farms on the island with addresses and phone numbers

good luck

Anyone know where there is an apple cider mill??

Im thinking of going to Scmitt Farms (I live in Queens and FH lives in Brooklyn) and then heading to a place to see an apple cider mill. (FH wanted to take me one yr to one in Upstate - but it closed

We went last year to someplace out east... around east marion. there was a lord of the rings corn field maze, caramel apples, pumpkin picking, and apple cider. if you want details let me know, i'll ask FH if he remembers.

White Post in Melville. Love that place! We take the kids every years to pick pumpkins and sometimes on w/e to feed the animals.

I just went last Friday w/ my son ona school trip. He had a blast. My daughter was scheduled to go w/ her school today but it rained

Wickham's Farm in Cutchogue is awesome. Apples, Pumpkins and a hayride. Plus a great little farm shop with cider, cheese and all sorts of stuff.
