I just saw a comercial that said 70% of people who have herpes contracted it from someone who had no signs or symptoms at the time.... does this mean that the other 30% saw some sort of symptom and decided 'who cares?'

People may not be fully aware of the fact that there is no cure for herpes. I see way too many people with cold sores (caused by the same 'thing' as herpes) and while some are valid...others could care less that they could potentially have herpes.
I am so scared of sharing chapstick, straws, anything with friends...herpes is forever!!

You may be confusing them with cancer sores? My fiance gets them and they are so painful he can't even sleep.
