NWR: Question for anyone who has had the Shingles!

Is it going to get worse before it gets better? It feels like it's progressively getting worse, even though I'm taking my medicine

FH's mom had it a few years ago and it got better as time went on with the medicine. Hang in there.

My best friend had them when she was pregnant and they definitely get better once you are on the meds but she said it takes awhile before the pain goes away. Feel better!

They get worse before they get better
It continues to be very painful until the end where they really just go away.
Also, the heat makes them worse, and I know FH's got irritated when his shirt would touch them so he went shirtless for a good amount of the time... that's always an option for you as well!

I was home from work yesterday so I was shirtless the entire day, but today I'm at work. Although the guys in the office wouldn't mind me sitting here shirtless, I don't think shirtless with shingles is appealing.

I had the shingles a few years back. Unfortunately they do get worse before they get better. Douse yourself in Calamine (sp) lotion it will help some.

mine got worse before they got better. they also were itchy and burned. the heat does not help the situation. i think i had it for like 1.5-2 weeks. ughhhh. sorry for being a downer. i hope you feel better!
