my poor little yorkie is legally blind. he is 15 years and i know its a part of aging. do you know if there is anything i can do for him. either food, meds, or anything at all??? he still has some spunk in him & for the most part is healthy. but i hate seeing him bump into things and he has a hard time seeing the stairs
i luv him to pieces & hate to see him like this. the vet says there is nothing really to do. its part of aging...i guess i can't accept it.
thanks

Re: NWR- question for dog owners
Im sorry I cant help you with anything but for your doggy! It always kills me to watch pets grow older and the things they have to deal with.

Re: NWR- question for dog owners
I think he will learn to adjust. I know it is hard. My dog is 11 1/2 and only recently did I find out he has a brain tumor. The treatment is not in my price range. He is active for now and I will have to decide down the road what to do. I say take it one day at a time. Blindness is not terminal. Sad yes but not life altering. My aunt's dog was blind and outlived her. Give it time and try to make a clear path for the dog.
