NWR: Question for Laura

I need your WW leader expertise.

I was so proud of myself this week. I totally stuck to the WW plan, didnt drink and exercised every day...yet I only lost .8 lbs. The week before was a disaster and I stuffed my face and lost 2 lbs. Isnt this a bit weird?

Not a WW leader and this thread isn't addressed to me. But I'm a hardcore WW fanatic.

Sometimes it takes a week or two for the weight to 'catch up'. So you might not see the results of your good week until next week.

Hey, I'm here.

And I agree with everything Colleen said. Don't stop exercising because you lost 'only' .8. I'm sure there's lots of girls on here that would be happy with a .8 loss. NEVER minimize a loss. They all add up over time. If you lost .8 every week for a year, that's 41.6 pounds!

Usually when we start working out hard core, our muscles retain water. So what you might be seeing is water weight. Keep it up and you'll see it start to come off.

Remember, NO ONE EVER GOT FAT FROM EXERCISE!

I have a question about WW... I know that you like count points based on fat or something. What makes it different than counting calories? I know people have great success on WW, but I don't understand how it's different than counting calories, or is it different?

WW has a formula. It's based on the amount of calories, fat, and fiber. Basically its low fat and high fiber diet.

Ditto. And counting points can just be easier than calories because you're looking at smaller numbers

Depends on the person. I ALWAYS gain right before it's my time. Never fails.

Thanks! Didnt mean to minimize the launch...was just wondering how I could lose more on a week where I cheated like crazy. But what you said makes total sense. And of course, I will continue to exercise! I'm on a mission so I can go dress shopping!! : )
