So today I had a gyno appt. I thought I was going to just get my blood pressure etc so I could get more BC pills but was ambushed with a full exam. I got really emotional about it and very upset (which I didn't show the docs obviously)
anyway my point is this. when I was younger (from the ages of like 16-17 to 13ish) I was more comfortable sexually
These days (I'm 28 now) I'm very uncomfortable with sexuality. I can't stand going to the gyno. I'm not really into having sex (maybe TMI ) and especially when people make sex jokes and things like that I get VERY embarressed and appalled actually. What do I make of this? I feel like a different person...

The only thing I can really think of is that people change. They can change ALOT from when they're in their teens to their twenties or thirties. If most people met me when I was 13, they would have no idea I'm the same person. Maybe you just became more conservative over time?

I don't think it's anything to worry about. People change as they grow, and that's just a normal part of life. That was who you were then, this is who you are now. And it isn't a bad thing at all!

I think its normal IMO. I have gotten a littl bit like this as well....I blame the BCP on making me this way personally...it can change your personality

the BC can make your moods change and make you want sex less. it happens to a lot of people, dont worry

i became a little distant with the sex thing too and i thought it was the BCP. i talked to my gyno about it and she told me that if i have been on the same one for years that it wouldnt really be the pill that took away the drive and it was probably just stress and life changes. i wouldnt worry too much about it. theres a lot of changes going on in your life right now. i think after you;re married and stuff dies down you might feel more like yourself
on a lighter note..i was at the outlets today and went into your store but none of the girls looked like you lol

lolllll we got in a fight minutes after we left u cuz i wouldnt buy the coach bags for every1 shes always rushhhhhinggg. i have 7 monthss to buy bp gifts
and she refuses to wear feathers..butttttt when we went shopping she was going to settle on a dress ' u like this dress so i will get it to make u happy' bwaha

i think its pretty normal, i get kind of embarrassed also when fh makes jokes or whatever in front of people i dont know i feel like its such a personal thing, youre not alone honey plus, i feel like as a teenager you definitely lose lots of your inhibitions but then you grow up and you change, no worries!

I think its totally normal. when I was a teenager I was soooo shy, like crazy shy u couldnt get me to talk about anything personal more than what tooth paste I use. now I talk way too much and really not shy. time changes personalities. besides, when ur single u talk about everything and sex is such a fun topic, but when ur in a serious relationship its all different - its all way to personal and intimate and full of deep emotions. I know that I dont talk to any of the gf's I used to talk to about our sex lives, xpt 2 very close childhood friends.
if you don't like exam goes to my gyno .... the actual physical exam takes approx. 45 seconds!

I wasn't having sex when I was a teenager so can't relate lol. Even then though, I didn't really talk about things sexual in nature and even now I don't discuss my sex life with anyone. That's just me though. I think some things are personal and that is one of them.
