NWR: Recipes Needed Please!

Every year, me, my mom and my FH have our annual holiday cocktails and hor d'ourves party... This year, I wanted to try some new recipes for hor d'ourves... Any suggestions?

THANKS LADIES!!!

the food channel would be your best bet for new recipes...i recently saw something on the food channel that i want to try: mac and cheese appetizers. You put a piece of cheese inside a rigatoni noodle, coat it in eggwash and breadcrumbs(not sure about the breadcrumbs) and then deep fry them!

This is from Paula Deen of the Food Network and I swear, it's amazing...

I made it for Thanksgiving last year with Tortilla Chips and people were freaking out... Here it is:

1 (10-ounce) package frozen chopped spinach
2 (13 3/4-ounce) cans artichoke hearts
1/2 cup mayonnaise
1/2 cup sour cream
1 cup freshly grated Parmesan
1 cup grated pepper jack cheese

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F. Grease a casserole dish with nonstick spray.

Heat the spinach in a microwave oven on high for 5 minutes and squeeze dry. Drain the artichoke hearts and coarsely chop in a food processor.
Combine all the ingredients except the jack cheese in a large bowl. Stir well. Scrape into the prepared casserole dish and sprinkle the jack cheese on top. Bake for 30 minutes. Transfer to a chafing dish and keep warm over a low flame. Serve with bagel chips.

Also, Trader Joe's has amazing easy hor doerves that you can whip up like coconut shrimp, filo filled with spinach, delicious dumplings etc.

if you own a crockpot, you can buy little cocktail weenies and pour some barbecue sauce over them (we like the jack daniel's). Heat it up for an hour or two and serve with toothpicks

take a 9 inch glass pie plate and smush a bar of cream cheese all over the bottom. Take cooked chicken (you can use those Perdue shortcuts) and mix with hot sauce (as much or as little as you look) sprinkle the chicken over the cream cheese and add crumbled blue cheese on top. I usually use 1/2 of the container. Bake at 350 25 minutes or until bubbly. Serve with tortillas or sliced Italian bread.

OH my goodness, you have to try this. My friend at work calls it a 'Corn Quiche' but there are no eggs, so I think its a misnomer...

combine:

1 box Jiffy Corn muffin mix
12 oz sour cream
1 can corn
1 can creamed corn (both the 15 oz cans)
1 stick of butter (I melt it)

bake in a well greased pan (the rectangle brownie type one) for 2+ hours or until brown and 'solid' - let cool and cut into squares. OMG, this is so good like a giant corn fritter!
