NWR: Recommend a dentist & optometrist

Hi all:

Since I moved after my wedding, I need a new dentist and an optometrist.

We live in New Hyde Park. Does anyone have any suggestions for either.

My insurances are Cigna (Dental) and Davis Vision if that matters.

I would perfer one that has evening and weekend hours if possible.

My FH is a dentist in Deer Park but he doesn't take insurance (you'd have to submit the claim yourself)...he works on me and never caused me any pain!!!

I go to Dr.Paul Kritikos (optometrist) in New Hyde Park. Hes great! My whole family has been going to him for years!

I had root canal and it didn't hurt AT ALL! I think they have a website as well

ETA: I have a fantastic opthamologist as well, but he's in Huntington. If that's not too far for you, I can give you his info.

I just have to comment on Dr. Smoler's name. He is my best friend's dentist and until I took her there for an appointment - I thought she was making his name up.

His name is Dr. Lou Smoler. Say it out loud - 'loose molar.' It would have been a shame for him to become anything other than a dentist. He is an amazing dentist. Her whole family loves him!

The best part is that his email address is actually 'loosemolar@____' He's really great. That was one of the only drawbacks of moving to Manhattan - I had to leave behind all my favorite doctors!
