Moving company. Has anyone ever used an NY-based moving company that you really liked? FH and I are moving from Brooklyn to Queens in 10 days and are shopping for movers because doing our last move without them was TOO stressful, plus we have to move on a weekday so we can't both be there (I have to work) Long story short we are going to use movers (my dad has generously offered to help us pay for movers up to a reasonable limit). So if you have had a good experience please share!

Moving Right Along in Queens. They're fkn awesome!
Avoid Bekins. They effed over my parents BIG TIME.

i used flat-rate before. they are a chain. but i liked the fact that there werre no $$ surprises

I used Crossland Moving for my move from Queens to Brooklyn. They were absolutely wonderful and got everything done very quickly. They actually made three trips because they dropped a bunch of stuff off at my mom's house in Roslyn and moved a whole wall unit for her and didnt charge extra.
