Hey - I was raised in Port Jeff.
Pasta Pasta is very good, but it is a little pricey if you're concerned about that.
If you want cheap but awesome restaurant, there is Salsa Salsa which is a Burrito Bar.
There is also Zpita, which is a great place that is affordable and very good.

mmm I'm from queens but FH grew up near there and he took me to pasta pasta and it was amazing

It's a couple of miles from from Main St, but I just had dinner last night at Lombardi's on the Sound... they have a nice outdoor deck overlooking the water... and entrees between $15-$25. Not bad at all. It was my first time there... good food!

Just kidding....I live there and I'm SO SICK of the traffic!
Whatever you do...DO NOT go top Danford's. They have the most repulsive food I've ever eaten in my life!
Pasta Pasta is ok but they have a very limited menu.
I'd say go to Colosseo instead and get the world's best pizza!
