Ladies i was wondering if you ever had your resume professionally done. I am graduating in May with my teaching degree and was thinking of having my resume done......i really really want/need a job for September. We need to save money to moce out before the wedding. Right now I dont work so we are not saving a dime AND i refuse to live with my parents once i am married SO I would love a job ASAP. Does getting ur resume done help? Or am I just wasting $200 to have someone do exactly what i can do at home???

Re: NWR: Resume
No, I have never, and I have had positive responses to my resume. i think $200 for a resume critique is wasteful. Have your friends and colleagues critique it.

I wouldn't spend $200 either...you can buy a book at a bookstore too if you want on how to write a resume for much cheaper.

Re: NWR: Resume
I don't neccessarily think you would need to have your resume done professionally. You know yourself and your knowledge more than anyone else! I would say go to a bookstore and use some of the resumes as a template. It took me 3 days to do my resume because everyday I realized that I left something out! After you think you are done with your resume, maybe have somebody that's already in the Education field critique it for you! I know you'll do fine!!! I have confidence!!!!
