Old Dirty Bas--rd died at the age of 54. He was in his recording studio downtown =(

I dont think he was 54 and he just had a concert last night a nassau colisseum and dead today, we need not to take life forgranted

I posted this on the NWR board. He was 35. He was complaining of chest pains and died. They havent released why yet.

......54??? Where did ya get that number from? I believe he died two days short of his 36th b-day.

I'll miss him. That song 'Got Your Money' always made me laugh.

It's sad... I wasn't a huge fan (save the Fantasy remix ) But it's always sad when anyone dies, especially someone so young...

The rap artist O.D.B., whose utterly unique rhymes, wild lifestyle and incessant legal troubles made him one of the most vivid characters in hip-hop, collapsed and died inside a recording studio Saturday. He was 35.

O.D.B. had complained of chest pains before collapsing at the Manhattan studio, and was dead by the time paramedics arrived, said Gabe Tesoriero, a spokesman for O.D.B.'s record label, Roc-a-Fella.

The cause of death was not immediately clear, but O.D.B. had recently finished a prison sentence for drug possession and escaping a rehab clinic. He would have turned 36 on Monday.

Well, I hear 54..I was wrong...the sad part is that he passed away young, no matter how old he was.

I heard this on the news too.

A heart attack at 36!! That's so awful. Not sure of his visitation with them but it seems that about 12 kids lost their dad.

Hopefully his kids will get something out of all this since I think he does have songwriter credit on a lot of albums. Maybe Roc-a-fella will release his album in progress too which could only help out his family.
