Remakes are such a touchy thing. When they're bad, they're abominable. When Rob Zombie does them, they're the most kick-a$$ retellings of American urban myths that you are ever likely to encounter. He's a blood-soaked, foul-mouthed Aesop.
Have no fear, he knows 'the rules', and sticks to them, and yet it is somehow still surprising. In fact, I think that if the original makers had known how big this franchise would be, they would have made the movie like this the first time. This one is worth the money.

I don't normally do well with horror movies either (night terrors) - but this wasn't too bad.. Lots of blood - but not gore really....
I like the way he put a period at the end of the movie - THERE CAN BE NO MORE... Did anyone else get that??? I loved it!
