Re: NWR: Root Canals
This happened to me once. Your tooth is probably infected. The dentist will put on you on antiboitics and give you painkillers. You'll need them. After the first day, you shouldn't really have any pain following the root canal.

I'm sorry you are in pain, I just had a root canal on thursday and it still hurts. But the pain is less each day. Definalty do not put a crown on it until you have no pain. And don't be afraid to get a second opinion, sometime if they don't fill it right you can develop an abses. And that hurts. Did you go to a specialist or a regular dentist? I no longer trust a regular dentist to do any root canals.
my mouth was sore after, which lasted a few days.
I'm curious...have you gone to the dentist to find out what was wrong?
