NWR: Rosie O'Donnell just announced...she's leaving The View

She just announced that she will not be on the view after her contract expires this year. (she only will do 1 year on it--and will guest co-host during the 2007-2008 season)

how many of you are jumping up and down?

I actually never even watch that show, but I've heard super mixed reviews about it once she came on

My co-worker watches it everyday and I feel like pulling my hair out when she's on. I'm not surprised that she's leaving though--I heard they were really trying to push her out.

I am! I am! She totally ruined the show. It's suppose to be light and fun and she turned it into her political platform. GOOD RIDDENS!!!!

I saw that an hour ago on CNN.com. Apparentely, that was such news that CNN made it a NEWS ALERT!!!!

well they are making a big deal to say (at least barbara walters is) that 'she is NOT being fired or let go---we don't even have a replacement cause we were hoping she'd renew her contract--but it just is not something she wants'

she'll be on until june

I don't really watch that show anyway because they are too politically slanted and obnoxious so I find it irritating to watch. I just start yelling at the TV.
But this is good news.
Rosie is probably the most annoying & grating person on the face of the earth. I can not stand her!

OMG that's sickening. A News Alert for real?? Evidence that our culture is WAY too Celebrity Obsessed. Ridiculous! CNN probably loves her... that network and Rosie think a like IMO

i work for abc, so we always have the shows running , i happen to like her. she really made the show interesting with all the controversy and her funny quips.

i'll miss her..

I agree. I think the show will be kind of boring without her. She definitely gives people something to talk about.

I don't watch it, but she makes me ill.

Its a shame cause she used to be funny when she had her own show...then she became all political...

Me too. I wanted to see how many ppl hated her. lol but i liked her only cause the show was very interesting with her on it.

I used to a be a huge Rosie fan then she said something so stupid on The View and I looked back and realized that I had been defending her through a lot of stupid things that she has said. If she stayed any longer, she would really be digging a hole.
