NWR: rumors rant
I can't go into too much detail, but I HATE it when people start blabbing and making $hit up that they don't know about. Long story short, one of my coworkers started spreading rumors about FH and then the kids at school got wind of it. I had one come up to me today and ask if it was true!!!
I'm sorry, but that's just NOT cool....AT ALL!!!!! I work with middle schoolers, I expect them to do stuff like this, but adults?! GROW UP! And the best part is, people then went to my boss and asked if it was true rather than just growing a pair and coming to ask me directly (kudos to the one person who did).
Have a meeting with my boss tomorrow to discuss how to deal with it, but I think leaving well enough alone and not saying anything unless it comes up again is probably a good plan. Needless to say we have a staff meeting tomorrow about the gossip policy. Really glad I'm going back to work at the hospital next month...
