NWR: San Juan Puerto Rico

I have the opportunity to go to San Juan PR for a business matter. I can choose if I want to go or not.
Also, much of my trip would be paid for but I would have to put in some money. With saving for the wedding and all money is tight so I dont want to spend it if its not worth it.

I would be staying at the Hilton resort in SJ

Anyone have any advice or opinions?

We stayed there a couple days before we left on a cruise and it was beautiful! wish i was there longer

how often do you get to go somewhere and not pay for the whole trip? I'd go, Lauren. But thats just me!

When is the trip scheduled for? What percentage would you have to pay?

I can see how it can seem foolish to go away before your wedding, especially when most of the wedding stress is financial (at least for us, that's where the stress stems from).

If you can afford it I strongly suggest it! For my b-day this year, FH gave me a mini-moon ( six months before the wedding, a short trip to recharge) ! We went to London & Paris last month. It was so refreshing, I strongly suggest all engaged couples, ( that can afford to) go away together 6 months before the wedding!

This is the first time I have been asked. A family who I work for wants me to accompany their child and work with him 5 hours a day but I would have the rest of the time to myself. All my expenses, besides food would be paid for but we would have to pay for FH. I really am trying to swing it lol because it is a nice vacation for very cheep.

Update

I am no longer going because the family that was taking me cannot find affordable airfare for them or me.

but if anyone else gets to go... enjoy it!
