Re: nwr: santacon?
NO, but DH and I were eating sushi last night in Brooklyn and a man in a red onesie drunkenly came in to gorge himself on sushi! Springsandra is the one who told me all about santacon, LOL! Didn't believe her at first but it's true!

Re: nwr: santacon?
we were at a bday party in the city last night and 4 of the guests had participated ... it was a little odd to walk in the restaurant and see 3 santas and one elf ...

Re: nwr: santacon?
Umm YES I WENT!!!
This is like my favorite day of the year. We get dressed up like Santa or Mrs. Claus or whatever and meet up with like 4000 other Santas all over the city. It was so much fun, I'm sure if people see it and don't expect it it must be hilarious.
The funniest part of the day for me and my FH was when we were sitting on the steps of the big post office on 8th Ave behind Penn Station, there were hundreds of other Santas there and some Japanese film crew comes up to us and starts asking us questions about how we feel about the financial crisis. One of the rules of Santacon is 'Santa doesn't talk to the media' so we just told them we could only talk about Christmas and they didn't know w-t-f we were talking about. It's an underground thing but if you look for it online you can find the info and go next year, it's usually this weekend every year.
ETA: Tried to post a link to a video of it but it didn't work.
