does anybody have it? My FH is driving me nutz. he wants to get it for his truck.. which do u like better XM or Sirius?
I may treat myself this Christmas, depending on the bonuses we get from work. since i commute into manhattan everyday.. i definetely will get use out of it... plus i get really pumped at the gym when i work out to great music... my mp3 has the same music over & over.
i may have to kill him if he doesn't make a decision soon

They might be merging...
I have and LOVE XM - FH has XM too and has been in the car with people with SIrus - they both have their benefits - but if and when they merge, it'll be HUGE & WONDERFUL for all!!!

FH has Sirrus in his radio and wont stop listening to it. And the coolest thing is I can sign up online and listen for free online. You get service all the time - the only time it goes out is when you pass an overpass but its like for 2 seconds.
I definetly recommend Sirus.

I have XM so does FH my mom and dad we love it. I cant really compare it to Sirrus because i dont have it. But i prefer XM because id rather listen to O&A than Howard Stern.
As far as most other stuff- i think its probably the same, i like the music stations that are devoted to one type or era of music, i also like that I can listen to just talk radio as well - which i find reg radio doesnt really have
ETA : i saw that someone metioned that Sirrus allows you to sign up online and listen - XM does the same - its free to listen online as long as you have a membership

FH has Sirius and he absolutely loves it. However, I pay the bills on it and if you ever need to talk to customer service, it is such a hassle!! I know a couple of people who have had such issues with their customer service

Is FH into sports? They have different sports packages. You may want to consider that before you purchase. XM has the MLB contract. Sirius has NHL, NFL and I believe MBA. Check out both of their websites and see what stations they offer. That may help. Personally I prefer Sirius, yet my co-worker wouldn't give up XM for anything!

I have XM and I recommend it 100%...mainly b/c I keep my channel set at 202 for Opie and Anthony lolol..I'm obsessed! But they have great music channels (soooo many to choice from) and they also carry NHL, MLB, NASCAR, oprah and friends... But also it doesnt matter at this point b/c the merger of XM and Sirius was approved so it will all be one eventually lol

i have XM i dont listen that much but it came with the car
XM and Sirius merged; though they are still separate, the deal is done so its just a matter of time until the channels merge as well

xm! I love o&a and i love the 80's channel, liquid metal, ethel and so much more. Just great stuff. Oh can't forget the folk music channel.

FH always says that they have so many channels - you can hear anything! If you like folk music played to the tune of polka hits of the 70's and 80's - they probably have it somewhere on there!

Fh & I both have sirius. With all those channels, I still find myself on like 1 or 2 and hardly hardly flip through.... The big thing is I wish sirius had baseball, but at least i can still listen to football

I like sirius because of Howard Stern...but I think if it wasn't for Howard Stern I would want XM...it seems they might have more channels for the music I like...and lately my sirius reception has stunk....who knows....good luck!

Yay i'm glad someone else enjoys them just as much as I do lol I got XM the day before they started back on radio and havent stopped listening to since!! I listened to them on WNEW for years too, but now I love listening for the 5 hrs they're on lol plus the replays all day everyday
