NWR: Satellite Radio for FI HELP!!!

Ok, FH has said he would like satellite radio for Xmas. I don't know what to do where to go, etc. Do i get XM or Sirius? Where do I go to buy it? How do I get a subscription for him?
Please please help, I am sooo confused!!! Thanks ladies!

it depends what he wants to hear. my FH wants opie and anthony so i got him a handheld sirius--they're only on xm. it was $150 at PC.

you get paperwork to sign up for service monthly when you buy it

I don't know much about this, but my brother, BIL, and 2 nephews are realy into satellite radio and they all got Sirius. I know my brother researches everything, so it has to be good. Sorry I can't be more helpful.

We bought ours at Best Buy. They can install if for you for a charge (if he wants it in his car). I would def. go with Sirius...but I love Howard Stern I'm not sure about getting the service b/c FH took care of that. But I am pretty sure that it is included in the box and all you have to do is call the # and sign up.

There are all these different Sirius stuff.. different 'radios' different packages. He isn't really into Opie or Stern or anything, just likes having sports and music. I guess just likes having a toy and I am all out of other ideas so I am glad that he suggested this but I am soo confused XMas is only like one week away!!

My FH just gave me an early xmas gift today and it was sirius satellite radio!!!! He got me the one with the car kit and it came with a $50 mail in rebate! It by Xact and it says replay on the front. Hope this helps.

i would go with sirius. i currently have it and love it!! i also got the home adapter so we have it in the house as well. its a little more expensive ($300 for the new system) and i think we only pay $13 a month. but it is well worth it - plus howard will be on it in january!!

XM airs ALL of the baseball games. The mifi has a cool scroll feature with the scores of your favorite teams.

i got DH sirius at Radio Shack. $79.99 witha $50 rebate and a $25 gift card..came out to $5
But they have another one for $129.99 with a $50 rebate

I have heard sirius is better

I got XM for FH last year for xmas. I got it at Circuit city but you can buy it at any electronics store. I did get the subscriptions though. He called for it once he had it all hooked up.

I have XM which was great until about 3 months ago when they dropped many of the stations I listened too like MTV, VHI...... you really need to see what it is that he is going to want...
also, be aware that i have issues with it going to work because it wont pick up the signal under bridges or in valleys so i keep going in and out

It depends on what he listens to. If he like Howard Stern like my FH then get him Sirrus as Howards last show on the radio is Friday. He'll be switching to Sirrus.

I don't even know where to research this stuff.
Why do they make it so difficult?? I was so easy, I printed out the little Michele watch I wanted, gave him the number of the watch store and everything!!!
