Re: NWR: Sausage and peppers recipe??
You can totally justt cook the sausage and then throwit in the pan with teh peppers, chopped tomatoes, and some spices. Its actually one of the easiest things to make!!! And hard to screw up!
I just cook the sausage and then in a seperate pan cook the peppers, onion, Olive Oil maybe a little spice depending on what you like and then when the everything is almost done toss in one pan together and let it cook for a bit.
Pretty easy and I can't cook at all.

That is how i make it. Then i throw a little gravy master in at the end to make it brown... i don't know why i do that, but that is how my grammy taught me

I have never heard of that, but you always have to go with the way grammy does it -- I know I do.

Re: NWR: Sausage and peppers recipe??
this is how I make it, it's probably too late now since it's a slow cooker recipe but maybe you can use it the next time you make sausage and peppers
Slow Cooker Sausage with Sauce
Ingredients - 8 (4 ounce) links fresh italian sausage -1 (26 ounce) jar spaghetti sauce -2 red peppers, seeded and sliced into strips -1 onion, sliced
Directions - Poke a fork hole in the italian sausage links and boil for 20 minutes
-Place the Italian sausage links, spaghetti sauce, red pepper and onion into a slow cooker. Stir to coat everything in sauce. Cover, and cook on Low for 6 hours. Serve on hoagie rolls, or over rice.

Re: NWR: Sausage and peppers recipe??
i make this all the time...I usually put the peppers and onions in a frying pan with some olive oil and some seasonings...cook the sausage in the broiler (faster and healthier) and then throw it in the pan with the rest and some tomato sauce.
(if you want a healthy version you can use turkey sausage too )
