NWR. School teachers need help with kids grade

My 7th grader just came home with a science test
that consisted of 54 multiple choice and 2 questions her grade was 73/60. She got 13 wrong and I can't tell if she got the 2 questions correct or not. What does the 73/60 mean??

The reason I ask is because I told her if she brought home less then 85 her lap top would be taking away 1 day for every 1 point lower then a 85.

You kinda need to know how much each question is worth. The two questions may have been 5 points each while the rest of the questions may have been 2. It is also weird the way the teacher put 73/60.... wouldnt it be 60/73?

I am assuming she meant a 60/73
Which means the total points available were 73 and she got 60 because she got 13 questions wrong.

So a 60 out of 73 is basically an 82%

I have no idea. I have never seen anyone put the bigger number on top. I would tell your daughter that she can use the laptop until her grade is resolved. Call the teacher!

maybe the MC is a 73% and the 2 questions were the 60%?

ETA: idk, i just did the math for the multiple choice, and it came out to a 76% if she got 13 wrong.

It also may have been 73% for the first section (the multiple choice) and 60% for the second section (the 2 questions). That's my guess!

Thats what I was thinking my daughter is not going to be happy. Oh well she had fair warning!!! HeeHee I love her laptop $ucks to be her. LOL

I am thinking the 73 is 73% for the MC and the 60 is a 60% for the 2 questions.

When i grade math tests, if there is a total of 35 points, we have to write that amount of points they got correct out of the total. I also convert it to a % for the kids, otherwise they have no clue what it means. lol But the smaller number goes on top.

73/60 only makes sense if it is 2 grades. Otherwise, I have no clue what the teacher means!

Technically...the way the teacher wrote the ratio your daughter passes with flying colors.....a 121.6%
