NWR: severe anxiety.UPDATE

about going to the dentist... last time i went, the guy was really mean to me, and now i have to go to fix the fillilng he did because my tooth/mouth/head/ear are THROBBING!!!!!!

UGH!! I can sympathize I hate dentists. They are a huge fear of mine. Maybe you can talk to your regular dr and he can give you something to help calm your nerves before the dentist. Good Luck!!

thanks girls... i'll definitely be posting later about how miserable i feel... i've played sports all my life and have gotten hurt hundreds of times, but pain in my head/mouth/ear i have NO tolerance for.... maybe i should just and let them do what they have to do while i'm out!!!

Ughhh I feel your pain, I HATE the dentist!!! The last time I was supposed to go the dental hygenist was SO unbelieveably nasty to me - enough to make me start looking for another dentist!

i actually work at the dentist and we deal with a lot of nervous patients i would switch doctors if i was you and i wouldnt get put out for a simple filling...a filling takes a few mins and getting put out and waking up i think takes so long....bring an ipod or a book and maybe see if he can prescribe you a valium (sp)or something

Ahhhhh I used to DESPISE going until I switched dentists...mines in Huntington, so let me know if you wanna change it up!

Hes the best--I go every 6 months now!

Yea, dentists are not that fun if you have a scary one. My dentist is awesome so I am not nervous when I see him. You'll be alright though.

SO it wasn't the tooth with the filling, it was the one behind it. he tapped on it and i couldn't believe how much it hurt... so he said he would clean it out but with the symptoms i was telling him he thought he would have to do a root canal. he told me to breath through my nose a few times, he didn't want me hyperventilating. it wasn't that bad once he got it started but i was FREAKING OUT. he didn't have to do a root canal yet... he put a temp filling in and i have to go back and see how i feel.... it's my own fault for not going in sooner. so i have an appointment in two weeks to get some other work done.... thanks for the support!!!
