NWR: Should I Say Something?
FH received an invitation to a baby shower - presumably Jack and Jill. The baby shower invitation has his name on it only - I'm not mentioned by name nor does it say l 'FH Name & Guest.'Should I say something to FH? I've met the mom-to-be and it's common knowledge that we're engaged. I'm willing to give her the fact that she's not the host because it's a surprise baby shower. But I'm hurt/offended that I wasn't included in the invitation. Should I be?

I think you have every reason to be hurt/offended. Remember, even though someone else is most likely hosting the shower, they got FH name/address from the parents to be.Yes, you should mention it. If don't want problems if you are inviting the couple to your wedding or hurt feelings.

Well we weren't planning on inviting them to the wedding. FH and this chick ran in the same circle of friends but she lives in NJ and neither she nor FH really talk (FH and I are tight with her brother and his wife). He didn't reach out to her when she got pregnant and she didn't reach out to him when we got engaged. Personally, I think she's hooking for a gift but I'm also not a fan - she just rubbed me the wrong way. She's also BFFs with FH's ex-wife, so that makes me even more turned off by her. I'm pretty sure ex-wife was invited, by the way, and I wonder if I was an accidental omission....

My question is why is HE invited to a baby shower??? Most of the baby showers ive been to are ladies only... and important men aka the father grandfather and godfather ect come at the end... Super weird.I hope he doesnt consider going to that snooze fest after what you stated above ^^^ and i DEF wouldnt send a gift.

I think if you're not planning on inviting them to wedding or even remaining friends, don't bother saying anything. Send a little gift card or something small with a card and sign it from the both of you. They don't sound like they're worth a second thought.

ITA... I wouldn't wanna put myself in a situation where I would be in the same room with an ex-wife. Just send a gift and sign it from the both of you.

I agree with the other ladies.. Just send a card and call it a day, but how does your FH feel? Does he think the ex-wife will be there? Does he even WANT to go?!

I would send a gift card and sign it from the both of you. Easily taken care of without any drama.

I would send the response back for the both of you in your handwriting, signed with your name first and then his name. No gift. Petty, I know, but that's what I'd do.Welcome New Vendors
