NWR: skiing/snowboarding

So we're going with 4 other couples to the Poconos for the weekend! Hopefully everyone can get there and we dont get snowed in NY though!!

Anyway, this is my first time going and I have no ski clothes. I don't even know where to go! I should have done this already. We are leaving tomorrow, but I've been so busy and putting this off.

I just need some ski pants I guess so I don't get wet and too cold. Where can I go??? What should I get/pack? I'm clueless. Somewhere in Queens or close to Queens please.

usually modells has a lot ....other than that any ski shop would have but they are usually expensive

modell's, ski stop or D I C K S sporting - I got tons of stuff from there!!

I would suggest printing a pair of leggings to wear inside your ski pants and a few thermals to wear under your jacket.....it gets cold! OH and lots of socks....they always get wet!!!

I am not sure if there are any in your area but if you want some reasonably priced stuff, go to Burlington Coat Factory! I got a couple of pairs of ski pants there for like, 25 bucks each and they kept me warm!

Do you have a d*cks sporting goods store near you? If so check there. I bought all my ski stuff there and they always have coupons flying around.

If it's your first time skiing could you just borrow some stuff from friends? I borrowed a friends ski jacket and gloves my first time as I didn't know if I'd ever want to go again!
