I live in FL, but I have and it's worked for me both times. First time was the person I bought my condo from who went back on part of our deal and took the new oven which was supposed to come with the unit. She ended up having to give me money for a new one. I also took a contractor to small claims for work that I paid for that was left undone. He gave me the $ also. If you're in the right it will work in your favor.

what kind of info are you looking for? basically you have to file a complaint form with your district court explaining the reasoning behind your claim. the filing fee is cheap, but you need to specify damages and such. make sure you have documentation and receipts to back up what you are claming, or if it's something like a loan, a promisary note is a good bit of evidence

Thank you guys for the info!
We bought a co-op and two things were completely broke and they had 3 weeks to fix it but never did so they were supposed to release the money held back but now wont so I think I have to take the sellers lawyer to court since she lives out of state.

Thanks
