On a beautiful day like today, I smile. Big. At people.
I don't like to because sometimes men think you're smiling at them b/c you want them.
It makes me uncomfortable and not want to smile.
You guys know what I mean? Or am I crazy?

Re: NWR: Smiling at men...
i totally know what you mean. i am Girl Smiley most of the time, and it's uncomfortable sometimes when you think the guys take it the wrong way.
i'm happy, i'm not flirting w you, get over yourself!!
it just makes me continue to smile though, at the thought that they think they're such hot $hit!!

Smile all you want. I do. If they think I'm flirting with them, let them delude themselves.

So you don't feel comfortable smiling?
You shouldn't feel like you aren't allowed to smile. Single women smile, engaged women smile, hey get this... even married women smile! Just because you smile doesn't mean you want to sleep with someone!
Maybe it's because I don't live in NY anymore, but I do smile at people and sometimes even say hi!!

i do the same thing, there is something so special when people smile back at you, even though sometimes its a guy who might be taking it the wrong way. its still flattering though!

Re: NWR: Smiling at men...
The college I went to had so many old traditions that were still upheld, and one of them was to say hello to anyone you walked by. After doing that for 4 years, I find myself smiling and saying hi to random people all the time and I really don't think anything of it - but every else thinks I'm weird haha
