I find it a lil creepy personally. But I also think it is nice they carried out his wishes. If I ahd special wishes for my funeral I would hope my family would also carry them out.

I dont think it had anything to do with his culture as much as it had to do with a personal preference. im sure people will not judge puerto ricans because of this....

We've been having some issues lately because people are really stupid and they buy into stereotypes -- you would be surprised

PS - pics TOTALLY freak me out. Dead people should not be standing. And he's like propped up in the corner! Too weird. Blech!

and i dont think hes too young to be thinking about it.. i have written wishes for what i want when i pass away or EXPIRE as they call it in the nursing home (could you imagine being called expired? ) i even have written wishes for if some type of accident happens and it comes down to DNR's, feeding tubes, intibation, ventilation....

i highly recommend EVERYONE no matter what age WRITE DOWN their wishes you dont want to think about it but ive seen an 18 year old girl on a vent and shes a vegetable and i would NEVER want to be like that.. after that is when i wrote it all down. you can be extremely specific with what you want.. like i want a feeding tube for 39 days then i want it discontinued.

most people dont know how specific you can be but i think its very very importnt.
