NWR-Someone please help me I think I am going to pass out!

I think i have the flu. I have a fever, coughing, sneezing, hot and cold spells, and I am so weak and head feels cloudy. Someone pahleese tell me what to take to get better. I am on the verge of crying, I feel so bad. I havea low tolerance for sickness.

Sudafed Extreme Cold/Flu (it's called something like that - not the exact name) is the best - I have tried Tylenol Cold, Advil, Nyquil - all of them, and for me - SUDAFED really wipes it out for a few hours (You may get dizzy though - I rather enjoy the high) Feel Better!

Also, take zinc to shorten the duration of the cold. It really works.

First you should go to a doctor...they will probably give you a prescription something called a Z-pack. it's a strong antibiotic...it works everytime for me! Other than that, get lost of rest and drink some oj! hope you feel better soon..and stay out of the cold!

I would get echinacea- not good at spelling take tylenol cold and flu, get robitussen cough medicine vicks vapor rub for night time and nyquil just read the label you CANT take both nyquil and tylenol cold and flu together!! it will say it but in the fine print!!!! and drink plenty of tea. nip it now before your sick for a while before your wedding!!! colds this season are lingering around longer than usual!!!and most of all if you do have to go out BUNDLE UP!!!

i keep hearing about Zicam and Z-pack - I hear good things but have tried niether.

Awww My brother just called me and said the same thing he has a 102 fever. Wrap yourself in a comforter and take Nyquil and sleep it off. You'll feel much better tommorow.

Never tried Zicam but definitely would if I had your symptoms
Also, the Sudafed stuff works pretty well

Z-pak won't help if it really is the flu

I am sorry you are sick. Yeah, if it's the flu there is nothing they can give you. Drink plenty of tea (I sound like my mother!), take Tylenol/Advil for the fever and rest. You could also take an OTC medication geared towards flu symptoms.

I was feeling the same way you are on Friday and I did finally break down and cry. Best advice would be to go to the Dr. ASAP I couldn't because of the snow storm and had to wait until Monday but am feeling much better right now! Feel better soon!

I suggest making a Dr's appointment. In the meantime I find that the liquid TheraFlu works wonders. It helps the symptoms and also helps me get some rest. Hope you feel better!!!!!

So sorry you're sick too! I was out of work 3 days this week with a terrible flu/bronchitis. I took Augmentin (prescription) and it is finally starting to knock it out.

Ok a few things...

1. The FLU is influenza a virus... so the Z-pack only treats bacterial infections. So taking a z-pack during the flu only builds bacterial resistance. (not good for you or the community)

2. Make an appointment to see your Dr ASAP... if it is really the flu (they can do a swab test that will only be + if it is that virus) then they can give you a medication that will decrease the duration by several days but it must be started within the first 2 days of symptoms or it will not work.

3. I love dayquil for flu symptoms... it has tylenol for fever and aches, a cough suppressant and a nasal decongestant!

4. Also increase your fluids! And sleep it off!

I believe I had the same thing. I went to the doctor and they prescribed an antibiotic and it really helped. Also drink a lot of fluids and rest a lot (dont' go out).
