NWR (sort of) - good restaurants in Suffolk??
Does anyone know any good, fairly large, Italian restaurants in the following towns:Wading River
Shoreham
Miller Place
Rocky Point
Ridge
Yaphank
Mt. Sinai
or anywhere around there? I'm scoping out places for the RD (and good stuff to eat.) TIA!!!

I did. But, we had the 'meet the parents' dinner there, and we want to it at someplace not the East Wind. Thanks so much for the suggestion - we'll have to check it out!!

Ok, so it's not that big, but I LOVE Pasta Pasta, which is in Port Jefferson. Oustanding consistently. So yummy. Love it.A larger Italian place in Pt. Jeff Station (and much more casual) is Carnival. It's on Rte. 347, but dining room is much bigger. (Pizza place in front, large dining room in back). Good food.
(Port Jeff is out there with the other towns you mentioned)
Also, there's Amici's on 347 in Mount Sinai. Pretty good-sized place, I've only been there a couple times, it was good as well.

What about the Sea Basin in Rocky Point? My niece's Communion party was there the day after my wedding in the upstairs room. We actualy missed the food but it certainly smelled yummy! And if I recall, they have their catering menu on the website.

Yes, PASTA PASTA.. It's great. and it just so happens that one of my best friends is the Manager there. She was supposed to be one of my BM's but just found out she's pregnant, She will not be a BM now. (her choice)Go there you can't go wrong, the food is great, and the atmosphere is nice also.

Thanks!!!
helen05, since your friend is a manager there, do you know what size parties they can hold? I just remember Pasta Pasta being a little small. And, our BP (& guests) + us + our parents alone is 30 people. Can we fit?
