NWR: Stomach Issues

NWR: Stomach Issues

This may be TMI but I am at a loss and need to find out if anyone else experiences this.
Going on 2 years now I have these episodes where I get very sick.
It starts out as a very gasy/bloated feeling in my stomach that increases as the hours go on and is never released. Then the pain gets so unbearable and I end up vomiting none stop.
The only thing that makes it better is time. I have tried taking things, drinking things but nothing stays down.
I have been going to the dr. They have given me an upper endoscopy, abdominal ultrasound, and a HTIA Scan and everything has come back normal.
However, I keep getting these episodes and all they keep doing is putting me on different meds.
I had to leave work today because the pain was so bad.

Does anyone experience this?

Have the doctors said anything about colitis? Its hereditary and sounds like a lot of the symptoms. FH suffers from this.

I had a test for that. They say my gall bladder works fine! I wish they would find what is wrong with me!!!

I suffer from ulcerative colytis. I had my large intestine removed but before I did, my stomach hurt so much, sometimes i couldnt stand up straight, so I understand the pain. Hope they diagnose you soon!

They havent given this to me because the pain I experience is in the upper part of my stomach and not the lower. My doc mentioned IBS but after I had The HITA Scan, they ruled it out.
Im just so frustrated and I just want to get better!

FH went through over a year over stomach problems before being diagnosed. He saw at least 3 or 4 different specialits. Honestly, I'd try a different doctor. They all have different sub-specialties so one might be able to diagnose what another could not. Good luck, and feel better!

My MOH has this same problem! she had it for like 2 years or so too. they JUST discovered gallstones and she has to have her gallbladder removed.
She went to the ER a few times with no results. I was beginning to think she was NUTS! But she finally went to a dr who specializes in that area and she found out what was the problem. If you want me to I can get the dr contact info for you. She LOVED this dr! She said she was really really a thorough dr.
good Luck. I hope you feel better soon!

Same here you should go see a gastrointerologist

Thanks ladies! I have been going to a gastro dr! I dont know what else to do! I have been living on Gas-X for the past 2 days! This is what my gastro doc recommended for my gas problems. This is really getting to be silly. How could they not know what is wrong with me?
A person should not get as gasy as I do and not be able to release it! Sorry if TMI!

Re: NWR: Stomach Issues

I have similar episodes. I have gastritis. Certain foods, or highly acidic foods REALLY bother me, where sometimes it's excruciating! I'm actually just getting over an episode from the weekend! It's basically inflammation of the stomach/intestinal lining and is usually brougt on by stress coupled with acidic foods. I have a FULL stock of Pepcid & Prilosec in the apartment. As soon as I feel pain, I pop one (or one of each!) It really helps. And when I go out drinking, I'll take it proacvitvely
So I'm sorry to hear about this. I feel your pain, I hope you find out what it is soon! Feel better
