Thanksgiving is my least favorite food holiday. I'm Italian, so Christmas makes me happy b/c we have gravy and ravioli and all the 'parms'



Me too but we eat pasta on thanksgiving too! And Christmas Eve we do fish and Christmas Lasanga and a bunch of other parms as well!

it depends who has Easter. if my aunt has it, we have Ham (yuk) and if my mom has it, we have gravy again!!!

I could sit with a huge pot of gravy and ten loaves of Italian bread and be set for a week.

another controversial word. I used to call it sauce, but my grammy would say that when there is meat in the sauce it's called gravy

gravy is one of my pet peeves

FH's family uses it a lot and it annoys me but more than that they make up italian words like TOTALLY make them up and then when i dont know them they get all offended.



i think my family does that too!!!

is loopheon (LOO - FEE- ON) an italian word?

meaning to overdo it with emotion, or to play up your emotions? my family says it a lot and I think they made it up


lol its not a word that i can think of - i will ask my mom though bc she is better with dialects than i am

its cool to make up words but the annoying part is when i dont know them they get all shocked like 'oh. but i thought you spoke italian'

I love stuffing. I personally use stove top at home - nice and quick ... but my family is old fashioned, they always make the bag and add their own crap to it. Thank god they don't add apples or raisins, I don't like sweet stuffing. I'm such a biatch.

This is my kind of thread. I LOVE stuffing. I don't discrimate either stove top is good with me but not on Thanksgiving == that is when the homemade stuff comes out. Susage stuffing tooo YUMMMM!

We don't do Italian thanksgiving anymore but we do for Christmas Eve and Day.

I will take a Parm any day of the week!

MY Mothers side says sauce and my fathers says gravy. I say sauce.

my sister's MIL is Jamaican and she makes this spicy stuffing with the chicken parts in it ( i think they are called giblets?) it is AMAZING! and she makes corn bread with CORN in it!

I'm boot shopping so I stopped paying attention to LIW like 10 mins ago.

how cute are these rainboots? I keep telling myself if I buy them I'll wear them every single time it's wet. Ha. Ha. Riiiiiiight.

i dont think i've ever tried stuffing. I've always been a picky eater but lately i have taught myself to like new foods (mushrooms -- raw and cooked, raw onions, cooked broccoli, etc)

What exactly is in most stuffing?
