looking for a place to go out for some good sushi tomorrow...FH and i are new to this whole thing and have never been to a sushi resturant. any suggestions in the suffolk area even the suffolk nassau boarder? thanks girls!

Don't know how willing you are to travel I'm from Hauppauge and there is this reallly great one in Hauppauge off of 347 in the shoprite shopping center. They open at 5:30 though so if you go there you would need to get there at that time otherwise you are going to WAIT forever. There is also a place in Commack called Sweet Basil its a Japanese and they have chinese It's DELICIOUS everyone who goes there LOVES IT. Its on Jerico Turnpike It's in the shopping center with Macy's and petco and the commack jewelry exchange. It's off to the side though its really goood.

all of 'our' places are in nassau in the westbury area. I love Minado because they have a great sushi bar but also have hot japanese food and it's all buffet style. they have a decent dessert spread too.
also.. Koiso in Carle Place is delicious!! if you go there make sure to tell me because I can wave to you from my apartment.

i prefer tomo in smithtown. Kotobuki in Hauppage is probably the best around. only problem is it get VERY crowded. theres normally a long wait.

the first one you are talking about is kotobuki. and yes there will be a long wait.
