Tai Show in massapequa is amazing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! they have sushi plus regular food so if someone goes with you and doesnt eat sushi its a great place to take them! The service is really good and the food is amazing!!! they have 2 seperate buildings 1 is habatchi and the other is sit down they are right nextdoor to one another!

Oooo...one of the best sushi experiences ever is Takara in Islandia (off Exit 57)!!! Get the sushi for two and they will just bring you SO MUCH sushi of all kinds, with appetizers and salads. You will have left overs and it tastes awesome!!
You could also try Jani on Route 110 in Huntington if you want a place that also serves Chinese in case you don't like the sushi and want a back up dinner!

I don't know how much you're willing to travel but a small place called Sushi Palace in West Hempstead is where FH and I usually go.. best sushi I have ever eaten.
Gosh now I want sushi...lol

By far the best place I have ever had sushi was
KOTABUKI in Babylon Village
There is usually a pretty long wait but, the argyle is right next store, you can have some drinks while you wait.

I know how you feel - my FH isn't a big fan of sushi so I only have it when I'm with his sisters or friends.
