That's the closest thing I can find to a barf emoticon. It just grosses me out!
FH loves it, and I cannot be anywhere near him when he eats it!

total DITTO the first time i tired it. you have to start with general rolls and then get into the crazier stuff! Try a tuna or salmon roll, add avacado and it makes it easier to take in the beginning. ALSO add tempura crunch to rolls and it takes away some of the mushy texture. For me, i hated the texture at first

I am having it for dinner tonight!!!!
I adore Shiki in Babylon, the Kaki Maki roll is my favorite. I'd love to have my shower there because it is so pretty and the food is great but I think the only people who would really enjoy themselves would be me and MOH!!!

OMG.. I totally forgot, but it's pretty close to Yummy Yummy and right next to Cold Stone. Hmmm... we should all go there for sushi, wine and then ice cream. Ha Ha Yes, I had to have it at my wedding and when the caterer asked what I wanted for dinner I said take sushi from the CH and that's all I wanted. so good and it's not messy.

I am beginner sushi. Rolls for me, and raw tuna only.
Baby steps.

i would LOVE sushi at the wedding, i dont think FH would agree. I am just getting him into sushi and it only took 1 year haha. He is finally eating spicy tuna but still orders fried rice with it!

Re: nwr SUSHI (garlic knot spnoff)
also, UMI has something called 'Black rolls' they use black and brown rice instead of white. So if youre cutting carbs, its a great option! I havent tried it but ive heard its pretty good!

Oh... it was one of the millions of stations we had at the CH. We had 5 choices for dinner... 2 fishes, chicken, filet mignon and a vegetarian... but since it was our wedding you can have them make whatever you want for your main course and that's all I asked for. Ha Ha!!
They took about 7 or 8 pieces of sushi from our CH (probably put it aside) and when it was time for dinner to be served I got my plate of sushi and DH had the steak (of course). He's not a sushi eater either.
You know Thurs nights are ladies nights and you get drinks half off. My girl friend and I had a bit too much last week.

LOL!! Of Course... I'm always up for a sushi night, half price drinks and a girl's night.
Plus, I'm in Lynbrook so I'm pretty close. DH's family lives in Oceanside. I'm actually a Jersey girl so when I moved here from Hoboken it took a while to find a good place.
Actually, the last time I went w/ my friend Jenn (another 07 bride and our husbands are best friends)... it was dead. The two of us got buzzed in an empty restaurant, but that's the fun part.
