3 come to mind (in order of my favorites)
1. Kotobuki on Deer Park Avenue in Babylon Village - Oh my God Amazing!! The best sushi I've ever had. It gets very crowded though and it's kinda expensive. It was rated the #1 restaurant on Long Island in Zagat (first time for a sushi restaurant) a couple of years ago! Outstanding.
2. on Merrick Road in Amityville - Roppongi (across from the Stop & Shop). Always very fresh and yummy.
3. Also on Merrick Road in Amityville - Liki Sushi in the bank shopping center across from Big Al's.

We are dying here laughing because FH always suggests that place across from Stop & Shop and I say 'no I don't know if it's clean, I've never heard anything about it' and now he's sitting here going 'SEE IT'S GOOD!'

Yeah we're going to Kotobuki, I'm going to go change, thanks ladies!
FH has been afraid of sushi his whole life. On our cruise in April I got him to try a little bit of Tuna sushi and once he saw that he wasn't sick from it, all he talks about lately is getting sushi again!

Just for future reference, Roppongi is really good. My cousin lives around the corner and we get sushi from there all the time! It's yummy and very clean.

It's not in Amityville but you should definitely try Shiki on Main Street in Babylon. It's only like 10 mins away and their sushi is awesome.
