Has anyone ever had a tattoo removed? My sister wants to remove hers and has no idea where to go. I would appreciate any suggestions. Thanks!

I don't have a tattoo, therefore none to remove , but I know that my dermatologist does tattoo removal. He is Dr. Abbittan (sp?) in Westbury. Look him up, he is nice.

I would definitely recommend going through a dermatologist. If they don't offer the service, they can direct you to a laser specialist who can. Depending on how big the tattoo she wants to remove is, it may require several sessions.

I am in the process of removing my tattoos. I go to a dermatologist office in brooklyn and he is very sweet. the process is very painful and long depending on how big and how many colors the tattoo is. i have to go for 6-8 sessions every six weeks.i've had two so far and the colors are fading nicely. fm me if you need more info.
